City Overview

In our game, there are several cities located in different geographic regions, each with its own unique opportunities.

City Level & Rating

Each city has a city level that gradually increases over time. This level is determined by:

  • Population growth speed
  • Quality of education
  • Overall wealth of its citizens

As the city level rises, the city’s overall rating also increases. Education level is driven by the number of schools and universities the mayor builds—each institution adds to the education score until the population threshold is reached.

Economic Factors

Cities track key economic metrics:

  • Number of businesses operating
  • Volume of money circulating among citizens

These statistics help players identify thriving markets and niche opportunities.

Resources & Extraction

Each city offers distinct extractable resources:

  • Mountainous regions: copper ore, iron ore
  • Texas: oil
  • Florida: clay, sand

Agricultural Products

Geography influences farming:

  • Farther north: longer growing season
  • Farther south: shorter season but wider crop variety

Taxation

Cities differ in their tax structures—sales tax, city tax, and other levies—all important considerations when launching a business.

Future City Unlocks

As more players join, new cities will be unlocked to keep gameplay balanced and fair, allowing newcomers to scale more quickly than veteran players in established markets.
